Red Tide II
Gateway to the Westmark!
The local culture of this booming town on the eastern border of the Westmark is predominately Kueh, and that’s the way they like it, but they’ll take whatever sort of coin from whatever sort of people and they’re always willing to make a deal. There are numerous shops that cater to the needs of adventurers heading into the Westmark, and it’s a common place to find desperate people looking to make a name for themselves on the border of civilization. If you’ve got the cash, they’ve probably got what you’re looking for, be it weapons, armor, tools, drugs or hirelings.
A small contingent of yamabushi and wizards form the Wise Mountain “School” here, mostly serving at the daimyo’s whim. Headmaster Matsumoto Jiro, a calm and patient yamabushi, will often tend to a student’s education personally.
A not insignificant shrine to the Nine Immortals stands near the daimyo’s compound, tending to the faith of the local believers. The shrine’s cleric, Bishop Endo Emi, is well-loved by the populace, though some grumble about her position in a traditionally male role.
